With Halloween coming up tomorrow, we thought you may be interested in where all the best haunted houses will be in Hawaii. Bonus: the holiday is on a Saturday this year which means no work the next day. Have fun trick or treating and heading to spooky houses!

Haunted Haiku Hike

Awalau Farms in Maui offers the Haunted Haiku Hike for kids and adults, with daytime activities geared towards the little ones. Here’s just a sampling of what you’ll find during the day:

Conveniently located in Honolulu, this fun Halloween destination is just fine for kids. Not too scary yet plenty of fun, thanks to pick-your-own-pumpkins, hayrides, cow train rides, a sunflower maze, live animals, Keiki Play Park, and Pumpkin Shot. Don’t miss the Country Market selling fresh picked Waimanalo corn, warm corn bread, homemade fudge, fresh-squeezed lemonade, fruits and veggies, shave ice and sweet tea.

Haunted Plantation

Not for the faint of heart, the Haunted Plantation in Waipahu is known as the island’s largest and scariest haunted house. In fact, it has the distinction of being voted one of the best haunted houses in the whole country. Nestled on a real plantation that’s purported to be haunted, you can get your scare on this Halloween if you dare. Cost is $15 for General Admission, $20 for Fast Pass and $30 for VIP Front of the Line Access.

Circus of the Dead presented by Scare Hawaii

Located at the Pearlridge Center on Moanalua Road in Aiea, Circus of the Dead is not for everybody. In fact, children under 13 are strongly cautioned not to participate. That being said, if you love being scared senseless, this is the place to go! You will be tested every step of the way, exploring varying evolutions of your fear through loud audio, lighting, low visibility, special effects, flashing lights, fog, and sudden actions. Open 7 p.m. to midnight, you’ll pay $15 for general admission and $25 for a fast pass.

Dole Plantation Pineapple Garden Maze

Dubbed the World’s Largest Maze, this huge botanical maze challenges young and old to make it out of the maze while having fun seeking out the eight hidden stations located within. Situated on the North Shore of Oahu, the so-called Nightmare at Dole Plantation combines a haunted house and Pineapple Express train ride to celebrate the spook factor.

Nightmares Live Haunted Attraction

This professional haunted house in Honolulu brings brave visitors through long mazes of terror punctuated by live actors, gory props and costumes, and horror movie set design. This is a full-scale production that has crews working all year round on this top-notch haunted house.
