Heading to Hawaii with the fam? Don’t think these popular islands are just for couples – that couldn’t be further from the truth. There are plenty of activities that the whole family will love, from snorkeling to aquariums. These activities are guaranteed to be enjoyed by everyone, from small children to teens to adults.

Maui Ocean Center

This state-of-the-art aquarium is dedicated to showcasing Hawaiian marine life through hands-on exploration and education. As one of the largest tropical aquariums in the country, this unique experience will show you interesting displays of anything from ocean ecology to whale life to Hawaiian culture. You can take the guided walking path to check out the outdoor Hawaiian Sea Turtle sanctuary and Hammerhead Shark pool. The indoor portion will show you the famous Hawaiian Tako, meaning octopus, as well as many other strange sea creatures that you probably haven’t seen in books.

Atlantis Submarine

It’s been profiled on National Geographic as a truly unique family adventure. This Atlantis Submarine underwater tour will be the highlight of your Maui trip. Dole Plantation

On Oahu, have a treat at Dole plantation where you can ride the Pineapple Express Train, navigate the pineapple-shaped maze and treat yourselves to a DoleWhip on a hot day.
